School tours

School tours to Armenia (can be performed on holidays, depending on your order) are safe and secure with the Armenian Hall Tour Service. Each employee of the organization is responsible for each child as his or her own child. We offer not just to visit Armenia but to recognize, explore and feel it. During the tour, children will develop, expand their worldview, get acquainted with the history of Armenia, our century-old and modern history and culture.

During the school tour, children will visit historical and cultural monuments, museums, will have an opportunity to evaluate Armenian architecture, will see and participate in baking, sculpture, and painting master classes, and will surely enjoy a lot of positive emotions and endless memories.

Our work style is that children should travel comfortably and be safe with their maximum safety. Our vehicles are constantly checked and accompanying guides are guided by all the principles of pedagogy, providing an immediate, cheerful journey for children.

MY BEAUTIFUL ARMENIA

10 Days / 9 Nights.

 

Day 1 – We Recognize Yerevan

Arrival at the airport, check-in at the hotel, lunch. After a short rest, we will travel through Yerevan, visit Erebouni and Genocide Museum, Matenadaran, walk along the beautiful old and new streets of Yerevan, during which architectural buildings and history of the city (Cascade, Opera and Ballet Theater, Northern Avenue, Republic Square, Arami and Abovyan Streets etc.) will be presented. And we will visit «Toumanyan island» art-cafe in the evening where we will decorate or embellish the Armenian symbols.

Day 2 – Garni-Geghard-Lake Sevan-Sevanavank

After breakfast, we will visit Geghard Monastery (IV-XIII cc), located in Kotayk region. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Geghardavank is named after the «Lungin Spear», which pierced the crucified Christ. Now the mentioned spear is kept in the St. Etchmiadzin Museum.

Then we will go to the pagan temple of Garni, founded by King Trdat I, in the year 77, to the glory of the pagan god of Mihr. According to the historians, this building was funded by Roman Emperor Neron. Garni Temple is the only pagan structure in the whole Caucasus region. From here opens a wonderful view to the Azat River, known for its basalt stones, called the Basalt Symphony.

In the village of Garni a master class of baking lavash will be held, during which we will take part in the baking process. After lunch, we will go to Lake Sevan, the pearl of Armenia, which has the sweetest water and is the largest in the whole Caucasus. We’ll visit the peninsula and get acquainted with Sevanavank monastic complex (IV-IX centuries). From here you can see a magnificent view of Lake Sevan, which changes into different colors at different times of the day.

Day 3 Yerevan

After breakfast, we will visit the History Museum of Armenia, which stores more than 400,000 exhibits, and then and we will visit Vernisage to buy souvenirs. Our next stop will be the Memorial Complex of Tsitsernakaberd (Genocide Victims Memorial, Genocide Museum) is dedicated to the memory of the 1915 Armenian Genocide victims in Western Armenia and Ottoman Turkey and it has become a great tragedy for the Armenian people, which had a loss of 1.5 million Armenians (official data). The museum consists of several exhibition halls where historical documents, maps, and photographs are presented, and the excursions to the museum are conducted in several foreign languages. The museum is part of the Memorial to the Genocide Victims, located above the hill and built by the efforts of architects Artur Tarkhanian and Sashur Kalashian in the 1960s.

Day 4  Zvartnots – Etchmiadzin-Khor Virap

After breakfast, we will go to the Zvartnots Temple (VII c), where Gregory the Illuminator and King Trdat III met and decided to adopt Christianity. From there we will continue our tour to Echmiadzin, visit the Mother Cathedral (IV century), St. Hripsime (VII c) and St. Gayane Churches (VII c). We’ll go to the Mother Cathedral and adorn ourselves with our heritage of holiness.

After lunch we will go to Khor Virap, located at the foot of Ararat Mountain, near the Turkish border. Here, for 13 years, Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned. Those who want can go down that pit with a depth of 6 m and 4.4 m in width.

Day 5 Khor Virap-Areni-Noravank-Goris

After breakfast, we will go to Khor Virap, located at the foot of Ararat Mountain, near the Turkish border. Here, for 13 years, Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned. Those who want can go down that pit with a depth of 6 m and 4.4 m in width. Then we will head to Areni village, Bird Cave, where archaeologists have recently discovered the world’s oldest leather shoe, dating back to 5000 years old. Areni is distinguished by its winemaking and now produces the most delicious wine from different types of grapes. After the traditional Armenian lunch here we will continue the journey to the magnificent Noravank church (XIII century), which was founded and built by the Orbelian dynasty. We’ll sting and enjoy the masterpiece and the unmatched nature of Armenian architecture. Then we will head to Goris.

Day 6 Old Khndzoresk-Tatev-Karahunj-Shakeh Waterfall

After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to Ancient Khndzoresk, a cave town, where we will reach a floppy bridge (Devil’s Bridge). Until the 20th century there were 8,000 people living in these caves, but now it isn’t inhabited. By means of the longest ropeway in the world, «Tatev wings», we will head to Tatev Monastery (XII century). Then we will lunch in Sisian and continue our journey to Karahunj, which includes megalithic structures dating back to the 6th century BC. It was an ancient observatory. We will go from here to the 18-meter Shakeh waterfall, which is remarkable for its unmatchedity.

Return to Yerevan, Dinner

Day 7  Dilijan –Parz Lich-Goshavank-Haghartzin

After the breakfast, departure for Dilijan resort town, where there are 2 dozen mineral springs with properties similar to the French “Vichy” and Georgian” Borjomi ” mineral waters. Nowadays, there are three dozen resorts in Dilijan. In 2016, Dilijan was included in the International network of the Trainee cities by UNESCO. Here will visit Parz lich or the “Parzka Lake” is located near the Goshavank Monastery, 15 km far from the town. The lake’s water is clear, pure. The forest is close to the water and dense trees are reflected in the mirror surface of the lake. If you look closely, you can easily catch a few real crayfish with your hands. And on the way to the lake, you can make a real adventure by doing a jeep racing. You can sit around the lake or organize a pleasant picnic with real Armenian barbeque. Then we will see  Goshavank Monastery Complex and Haghartzin one of the most famous monastery in Armenia.

Day 8 Ozun-Sanahin-Haghpat

After breakfast, our next stop will be the region of Lori in the north of Armenia. Hear we will head to Odzun village to visit Odzun monastery (VI century). In the thirteenth century, Prince Zakareh Zakarian brought drinking cold water with clay tubs to this area and constructed a hospital called Kendanarar. After that, the place was renamed Odznetsi, in honor of the architect Hovhannes, who created the St. Mary church. Then we will go to the Sanahin and Haghpat monasteries wish are UNESCO’s world heritage sites.

Day 9 Haghpat-Gyumri

After the breakfast, departure for the second largest city in Armenia. All the roads lead to Gyumri, whose inhabitants have a wonderful sense of humor. The first residents settled here in the vicinity in the 6th century BC. However, about the real population, it is mentioned only in the 8th century, when the rebellion began with the aim of getting rid of the Arabic government. At that time, this city was named Kumayri. In the Middle Ages, it became a large settlement that developed and expanded year by year. In the middle of the 16th century, Kumayri became part of Persia. At the beginning of the 19th century, a war started between Russian and Persian peoples, which lasted for ten years. The Russians came to the Armenian city. In the 1930s, a Russian fortress was built here, after which Nikolai came here and renamed it Alexandrapol. Tour to sights of Gyumri.

Day 10 Yerevan

After breakfast, walking tour around the city and buying souvenirs.
